Joining the library

Although we are completely run by volunteers, we are part of the Warwickshire County Library Service. You can join online at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/libraries or come into the library where we can help you through the process of joining. You will have access to the Library Catalogue, ebooks, emagazines and enewspapers and many other services.

Helping the library

Volunteering. Help us in the library with issuing, returning and renewing books, helping our customers, supporting computer users, with children’s activities. We need people who are good at fundraising, publicity and organising events and activities. Come in and talk to us about how you might become a volunteer.

Donation. Help us with our running costs and keeping the library open.

Pop in when we are open, phone on 01789 773239 or email bidfordlibrary@gmail.com

Local History Collection

Bidford & District History Society’s Research Group and Bidford Community Library are collaborating on a new project to create a District Archive at the library. Documentary items have been catalogued and are stored in the Archive. The Research Group has also digitised a large amount of material to view on-line which is also available to access through the same facility.

Documentary records stretch as far back as 1640 however the majority cover the period 1850 to 1980. You can view the list of materials in the Archive by clicking on https://www.bidfordhistory.org.uk/the-bidford-archive/
Members of the public can explore the wide variety of material already on hand, by appointment through the library.
